Asokore Beckles

Privacy.

Plain language on what this site collects, what it doesn’t, and how to reach me if any of it needs to change.

Who runs this site

asokore.com is the personal website of Asokore Beckles, a Caribbean economist based in Barbados. Direct contact: ask@asokore.com.

What gets collected

Three things, and only when you choose to share them:

  1. Newsletter email. If you subscribe to the Bridgetown Brief, your email address is sent to Kit (formerly ConvertKit) to deliver the weekly column. You can unsubscribe at the bottom of any issue.
  2. Contact form. If you submit the contact form on /contact, the name, email, category, and message are routed to me directly via email. Nothing is stored in a database; the message simply lands in my inbox.
  3. Aggregate page-visit analytics. The site uses Vercel Analytics, which records page views and basic traffic patterns without cookies and without identifying individual visitors.

What does not get collected

No tracking pixels for advertisers. No remarketing. No social-network embeds that set cookies on load. No keystroke logging or session replay. No selling of data, ever.

Cookies

Vercel Analytics is cookieless and runs by default. If a future change introduces cookies, this notice will be updated and a cookie banner will appear before they are set.

Your rights

Wherever you are reading from — the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, the Caribbean — you have the right to ask what data of yours is held, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. To exercise any of those rights, email me directly at ask@asokore.com with the subject line “Data request”. I will reply within fourteen days.

Subprocessors

The third parties that touch any data are limited and named so you can read their own policies:

Updates to this notice

Material changes will be summarised at the top of this page and the “last updated” date will move. Editorial changes (typos, clearer wording) just bump the date.
