Notice. Last updated 2 May 2026

Privacy.

What this site collects. What it does not. How to ask for any of it to change.

Who runs this site

asokore.com is the personal site of Asokore Beckles, a Caribbean economist based in Barbados. Direct contact: ask@asokore.com.

What gets collected

Three things. Each only when you choose to share it.

  1. Newsletter email. If you subscribe to the Bridgetown Brief, your email is sent to Kit, which delivers the column. You can unsubscribe at the foot of any issue.
  2. Contact form. If you write through /contact, your name, email, category, and message route to Asokore by email. Nothing is stored in a database.
  3. Aggregate page-visit analytics. Vercel Analytics records page views and basic traffic patterns. It uses no cookies and does not identify individual visitors.

What does not get collected

No advertising pixels. No remarketing. No social-network embeds that set cookies on load. No keystroke logging. No session replay. No selling of data, ever.

Cookies

Vercel Analytics is cookieless and runs by default. If a future change introduces cookies, this notice will be updated and a cookie banner will appear before they are set.

Your rights

Wherever you read from, you have the right to ask what data of yours is held, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Write to ask@asokore.com with the subject “Data request”. A reply lands within fourteen days.

Subprocessors

The third parties that touch any data are limited and named so you can read their own policies.

Updates to this notice

Material changes are summarised at the top of this page and the “last updated” date moves. Editorial changes such as typos or clearer wording just bump the date.
